Lancet Gastrohepatol 2024; 9: 438-447.
In this study that included 376 procedures, the use of a drain did not reduce major morbidity (20 vs 15 per cent no drain), or postoperative pancreatic fistula (27 vs 12 per cent).
Comment: No drain optimal (as in so many surgical procedures).
